By far, I'm not a professional photographer. I don't have much knowledge of photography. I love photography though!

The photos are to serve as a chronicle, the development of my son, Abdrahmaan and to share it with family and friends. Perhaps, later my FP will evolve into a mixed-up of everything! :)

I normally shoot on auto program using the olympus IR-300 digital camera or, nokia 3220 or another olympus digital camera.

Semester Break has begun

and so does our vacation.

this entry is from Sheffield where we will be for the next 3 weeks.

the flight was long.

It was a hassle to wake Jr up early in the morning.

we almost miss our morning flight from Kuala Terengganu.

I had to leave behind our luggage... Luckily, Tokki's clothes were packed in a bag that could fit in the overhead cabin.

Jr had some change of clothes but other than the leather jacket and a sweater, I arrived at Sheffield with just the clothing on my back... LOL LOL LOL...

The long waiting hours at LCCT has turned Jr into an uncontrollable menace... towards the end of the 8 hours waiting, he wanted to bite everyone and scream at anything you have to say to him.

alhamdulillah, after the in-flight meal, he went to sleep all the way till about an hour before landing.

Finally we arrived at Sheffield, 5 minutes before 4 a.m. after an hour and a half delay.

actually we were cleared at the border by midnight and it was another 3 and half hour drive fron Stansted to Sheffield.

Still jet lag, and Soni with lack of sleep had to drive me to the Meadowhall mall to shop for some basics...

and today... insAllah, we'll be off to the farm for to pick some apples... after all what is Autumn for without a visit to the farm?

The many reason for this ziarah - the long awaited puteri after 3 boys in a row :)... just 8 days old

having fun exploring LCCT at the beginning but at the end...

in flight

Good morning! after a few hours of sleep

Here we are... alhamdulillah, arrived safely...

Happy Rajab 1430H

The month of Rajab is the beginning of the spiritual renewal which culminates with the month of Ramadhan with eidul Fitr.

According to one hadith, The Prophet Muhamamad SAW said that the month of Rajab is Allah's month, the month of Syaaban is his month and the month of Ramadhan is his ummah's.

The first few days of fasting in the month of Ramadhan are usually tiring but if you have been fasting on and off during Rajab and Syaaban, then Ramadhan would be no feat at all.

It is recommended to fast for a few days in Rajab and do extra charity...

On that note, I remember my grandmother used to remind us to come home early, take a bath, put on our best clothes and perform the solatul maghrib and Isya' together then she would give each of us a presents. Her presents were usually pieces of clothes to be made into dress for Eid latter and I would have extras. the extras were crayons and colouring books or toys.

She said that it was her way of gift giving thus charity for the close family during Rajab. And it was sort of put us in a ready state for more spiritual positioning by extra nawafil prayers, saum or sadakah through out the month.

Then on 15th of Syaaban, the neighbours would gather at our house for congregational prayers of Mahrib and Isya and some food... Between Magrib and Isya', we would all sit and recite Qur'an...

Happy Rajab! Selamat Berpuasa Rajab!

Went for a picnic last night but only to be chased away by the rain...

baked a lemon cake...

almond fresh from the oven...

ukir...

Stadium Gong Badak East Wing Rooftop Collapse

I had a chance to stop by the stadium and see it for myself.

The rooftop of the east wing of the sultan mizan stadium collapsed while the work was in progress.

That was a month before the official opening ceremony.

The work has to be completed by May since the state has committed to host the SUKMA games and the work was completed just in the nick of time.

Now less than a year ...the whole rooftop over the east wing of the stadium collapsed.

Luckily there is no loss of life in this incident, Alhamdulillah...

Is this the divine signs... ???

If things are done sincerely for His sake, for sure the deeds would go up to heaven.

But if it was for any other reasons, to be boastful or arrogant then for sure it will not be accepted from us.

Cain and Abel stood to testify to that fact.

There have been no words yet on the extent of structural damage to the stadium.

Thanks God, none got hurt but a car and 3 motorcycles that got crushed under the fallen roof structures.

It took a long time for the stadium to be built and RM292 million (as reported in the NST).

The land was earmarked, ground clearing, landfill work, piling work... change of goverment and Pok Yeh... and SUKMA....

Pok Yeh may has the best on intentions but the way he get the message to motivate and change the mindset of the local people came across as arrogant and boastful. Perhaps it was also the attitude perhaps it is true that it is his nature to be boastful and arrogant. But back then many were cursing and praying that the stadium to collapse after a year or two...

A good friend of mine, whom I know is a strong supporter of the government were jesting when 'solat hajat' was organised as a part of the opening saying that the reason they are doing so was because "they are afraid that the roof would collapse as so many from the opposition have been praying for it".... I was told back then that the Imam specifically mentioned that should the roof fall, let it not during a fullhouse...

So, those that pray for it to collapse got their prayers answered and those who pray that it would not collapse when they are thousands of people in it also have their prayers answered. Allah is Just to all his servant even if his servants are fighting one another instead of fighting the devil.

People's words are their prayers .....
when many people curse it to collapse ....

Mana lebih teruk ?
Orang sombong atau orang yang berdoa untuk kemusnahan?

Kalau orang itu memang sah sombong, bercakap besar, bongkak dan berdoa lagi untuk kemusnahan...

The stadium is closed indefinitely.

This is indeed a learning experience for Jr. This extra ordinary event is probably etched into his memory permanently. He keeps saying, "papa stadium rosak"... Jr called the sultan mizan stadium as "papa stadium" since it is bigger than the indoor stadium which Jr called "Aman's Stadium"... he refers to himself as Aman.

May Allah guides us, our leaders and all Muslims ummah... ameen!
