Stadium Gong Badak East Wing Rooftop Collapse

I had a chance to stop by the stadium and see it for myself.

The rooftop of the east wing of the sultan mizan stadium collapsed while the work was in progress.

That was a month before the official opening ceremony.

The work has to be completed by May since the state has committed to host the SUKMA games and the work was completed just in the nick of time.

Now less than a year ...the whole rooftop over the east wing of the stadium collapsed.

Luckily there is no loss of life in this incident, Alhamdulillah...

Is this the divine signs... ???

If things are done sincerely for His sake, for sure the deeds would go up to heaven.

But if it was for any other reasons, to be boastful or arrogant then for sure it will not be accepted from us.

Cain and Abel stood to testify to that fact.

There have been no words yet on the extent of structural damage to the stadium.

Thanks God, none got hurt but a car and 3 motorcycles that got crushed under the fallen roof structures.

It took a long time for the stadium to be built and RM292 million (as reported in the NST).

The land was earmarked, ground clearing, landfill work, piling work... change of goverment and Pok Yeh... and SUKMA....

Pok Yeh may has the best on intentions but the way he get the message to motivate and change the mindset of the local people came across as arrogant and boastful. Perhaps it was also the attitude perhaps it is true that it is his nature to be boastful and arrogant. But back then many were cursing and praying that the stadium to collapse after a year or two...

A good friend of mine, whom I know is a strong supporter of the government were jesting when 'solat hajat' was organised as a part of the opening saying that the reason they are doing so was because "they are afraid that the roof would collapse as so many from the opposition have been praying for it".... I was told back then that the Imam specifically mentioned that should the roof fall, let it not during a fullhouse...

So, those that pray for it to collapse got their prayers answered and those who pray that it would not collapse when they are thousands of people in it also have their prayers answered. Allah is Just to all his servant even if his servants are fighting one another instead of fighting the devil.

People's words are their prayers .....
when many people curse it to collapse ....

Mana lebih teruk ?
Orang sombong atau orang yang berdoa untuk kemusnahan?

Kalau orang itu memang sah sombong, bercakap besar, bongkak dan berdoa lagi untuk kemusnahan...

The stadium is closed indefinitely.

This is indeed a learning experience for Jr. This extra ordinary event is probably etched into his memory permanently. He keeps saying, "papa stadium rosak"... Jr called the sultan mizan stadium as "papa stadium" since it is bigger than the indoor stadium which Jr called "Aman's Stadium"... he refers to himself as Aman.

May Allah guides us, our leaders and all Muslims ummah... ameen!
