Am I The Only One Who Still Don't Get It?
|
|
Still on the pasca PRU12:
A colleague was commented on 2 things:
1) How Malay votes have split into 3 UMNO, PAS, PKR ) but the Chinese and Indian votes went to DAP.
2) How BN didn't loose the election but it was MCA and MIC that lost majority of the seats the area they contested in. So, together with Sabah and Sarawak, BN stand tall still.
The conclusion drawn was that the Chinese and Indian rejected BN, the government but the Bumiputras and the Malay still voted for BN a.k.a. UMNO.
When the keris that was paraded into the convention hall, drawn by Hisyamuddin and kissed during UMNO convention drawn so much controversy from the MChinese (MMCA & MGERAKAN) that it become an issue? WHAT ISSUE? Keris symbolizes violence? or that Keris symbolizes the Malay supremacy? ONLY MChinese and MIndian reject violence but the Malay prefers violence? OR the MChinese and MIndian reject Malay supremacy and want to be equal ( do away with NEP and Malay previliges????) ????
Are the MChinese and MIndian are such a second class citizen that the enjoy a second class treatment that affect the quality of their life living here in Malaysia?
How is it when they moved away for not wanting to become Malay but and changed citizenship then willingly become more mat saleh than orang putih?
Now, Malaysia will be no 1 exporter for frozen pork?
Siapa yang melampau?
aku ke yang dah terlampau?
I would be committing errors of commission if the terms are applied generally. I truly believe that the silent majority are peace loving citizen of Malaysia be it Malay or MChinese or MIndian.
Temple demolition in Selangor before elections confirmed the arrogance of BN, Sammy was boasting thinking that he certainly would not loose his Sungai Siput seat in the election, MCA had to deal with the sex scandal, and to top it all, there are some federal BN leaders that sounded so arrogance in voicing his or her opinions and there is a khairi factor that create silent protest and the sleepy Pak Lah unwavering support for the SIL that many believe had a hand in determining the candidate for the last election thus see the so called renegade from within UMNO. To Conclude, people reject arrogance and lost trust in the government thus flirted with the alternative, the only other choice.
Are Malaysians ready for 2 party system? Can there really be democrats and republicans or Labours and Conservatives ---> BN and PR?

Ongkili: Anwar wants to destabilise Government
PETALING JAYA: PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been criticised by Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) for continuing to talk about MPs crossing over to Pakatan Rakyat.
PBS deputy president Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili said Anwar's actions were only intended to destabilise the Government.
“Why does he continue to engage in destabilising the Government by enticing members to cross floors?
“Not only is this unprincipled but downright dangerous.
“Why doesn’t he let the Government do its job just as Barisan Nasional allows the Opposition state governments to do their work?
“They should cooperate and let the Government run its show,” he said during his visit to the Meteorological Department here yesterday.
Ongkili was asked to comment on Anwar’s statement that Pakatan Rakyat was ready to form the Federal Government and was waiting for the right time and numbers.
On Monday night after a rally to celebrate the end of his ban from active politics at the Sultan Sulaiman Club field, Anwar said that Pakatan Rakyat had secured the number of MPs but wanted to form the Government with a strong majority.
He added that none of the MPs had been bought over.
Ongkili said that Anwar should “play politics” the professional way and meet in five years' time just as the Barisan had respected the people’s decision in five Pakatan Rakyat-run states.
“Saying these things to create doubt in people’s mind and causing investors to be concerned about their investments will cause instability,” he said.
“As the Prime Minister said, we continue with the task of governing and we stick together.
“We do our job and let the people judge,” said Ongkili, who is also Science, Technology and Innovation Minister.

banana story
|
|
We had a meeting with TNC on softskill programme for the upcoming graduate.
It hit a snag since the university have already committed to the state government to provide accommodation for SUKMA which will begin at the end of May. The new hostel build to cater to the purpose is not going to be completed in time for SUKMA. As such, we won't have accommodation for the students' 6 week programme. The only solution is to reduce it to fit the time frame that is available!
The meeting was long gone and most of them are already gone except a handful of us when the food ordered for the meeting finally arrived.
It was a bunch of banana, 2 plates of chocolate cupcakes and tea.
Here is the bananas.
and what's left of it.......

Pasca PRU12
|
|
I've been drawn into thoughts on Malaysian politics in general and anxiously waiting for the announcement for new line-up in Terengganu government.
Now I can breath easy but a bit disappointed that cikgu ramli tepoh is not included in the line-up. I guess, the new face has a better reputation.
I'm tired of reading what I construed as the psychic war being played by the pro-BN and pro-pakatan.
It dawn on me that since both DSAI and TDM are out and about and freely expressing their thoughts and opinion coupled with the media's attention on them both, we are being transported to the era before media clamped down or blackout, the time period when the the battle between the two escalated to higher level.
Can't help thinking that we all are being dragged to witness the culmination of the ongoing war...
One prayer that I don't miss to say is...
" ... haayyik lana min amrina rasyada.."
which can mean " kurniakan kepada kami, dari amalan kami, petunjuk" dan amrina can also mean our leaders.
everytime, I would repeat that part of the do'a over and over again with the intention of asking Allah SWT to guide me in the moments of decision making for actions such that my heart would gravitate towards one that wold bring good for all people and the same goes for those in the leader position in my household, my village, my mukim, my district, my state, my country and the ummah in the east or in the west.
This prayer seems to be ever more relevant now in time of confusion and uncertainty pasca PRU12.
Ameen!

On The Way To Work This Morning
|
|
It is a bright Monday morning and I'm driving along that stretch of the road that I enjoy the most on my daily route.
Traffic is slow.
Then it comes to a full stop.
'There must be an accident again!", I thought.
Yes indeed!
A big fat buffalo is down right in the middle of the road.
There are two cars collision and a buffalo.
Then, the stench seeps in. My tummy begins rumbling. No I have a sight of how big the buffalo's tummy is!
"Aha! The buffalo must have been dead for sometime! Otherwise, there is no stench and big belly buffalo!", I thought.
Now, I conclude that the cars were probably were trying to avoid the carcass in the middle of the road.
There are a good scout and a good Samaritans redirecting the traffic.
The stench lingers on in the car. I'm just glad that I dodn't puke on the way to work.
I'm going home after a while and sure hope that I will not see that buffalo still lying there!
